ACLS Courses has put together a list of Frequently Asked Questions in an effort to provide you with as much information as you may need about our ACLS online program.   1. Can anyone take this ACLS course?
    Yes, anyone in need of an ACLS certification card for the first time or an ACLS recertification card may register to take our online program. Since our courses and exams are written by AHA-trained medical providers, the training material that we offer covers all of the major topics of ACLS that you will need, even if you do not have prior ACLS knowledge.

  2. Can I certify for the first time by taking this online ACLS course?
    Yes. By choosing the ACLS certification exam option, you will be able to register with our program and become certified for the first time. Registration is quick and easy and you will have access to the ACLS certification exam immediately.

  3. Can I recertify by taking this online ACLS course?
    Yes. If you are ACLS certified already and your ACLS provider card has expired less than 1 year ago or has not expired yet, then you may choose the ACLS recertification exam option. If your ACLS provider card has expired more than 1 year ago, we require that you register for and take our ACLS certification exam.

  4. Is there a time limit to take the exam?
    No, our exams have no time limit! You may begin the exam at your leisure upon registration, and you may take as much time as you need on the exam. The exam is in a printable format for your convenience and ease of studying. We highly suggest printing out the exam to prepare and then electronically submitting your answers when you are ready.

  5. How long will it take to receive my exam results?
    Exam results are instantaneous. Once you’ve submitted your answers, you will receive exam results right away via email. Your results will indicate which questions you've missed and which questions you've answered correctly making exam re-takes, if necessary, easy.

  6. What happens once I pass the exam?
    Immediately upon passing one of our exams, you will receive a printable digital ACLS provider card. You will also receive a hard copy ACLS provider card in the mail. Both ACLS provider cards will bear your name, the date you've passed the exam, the date your ACLS certification provider card expires and our instructor's name and medical license information.

  7. Will I receive a physical hard copy ACLS provider card upon passing the exam?
    Yes. We supply you with a hard copy ACLS provider card filled in with your information. We offer various shipping choices for your convenience and to fit your needs. Standard shipping of your provider card will be within 2-5 business days, however, if you choose our next-day shipping option, your card will arrive in 1 business day upon passing the exam.

  8. Will the ACLS provider card that I receive indicate that I took an online exam?
    No. Our provider cards do not indicate that they were obtained by taking an online exam.

  9. How long will my ACLS certification or recertification remain active?
    Your ACLS certification or recertification will remain active for 2 calendar years from the date that you pass the exam.

  10. Do you provide Continuing Education Credits upon passing the exam?
    Yes. We award 8 Continuing Education Credits for passing our ACLS certification exam and 4 continuing education credits for passing our ACLS recertification exam. You will receive Continuing Education Credits documentation in the mail free of charge.

  11. What if I fail the exam?
    If you do not pass the exam on your first attempt, the exam may be re-taken an unlimited amount of times until you receive a passing score. free of charge. You will be given the opportunity to study the questions you’ve answered incorrectly on your first attempt to ensure a passing score.

  12. Do I need to attend a local skills evaluation?
    No, you do not need to attend a skills evaluation to receive your ACLS provider card from our institution. Our courses are 100% online. Once you pass our ACLS exam, you will receive your certification or recertification provider card immediately.

  13. Will I receive an AHA ACLS provider card upon passing the exam?
    No. Our exams and training courses are designed and crafted after the 2010 AHA guidelines to ensure that you are trained with the most up-to-date information available, and they are 100% online. At this time the American Heart Association does not endorse any course or exam that is entirely online.

  14. Can I receive a refund if I am not satisfied?
    Yes. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied, you may receive a full refund within 6 months of your original purchase. Refunds will be issued only if you have not attempted the exam. In the event you wish to request a refund, please contact us and we will assist you with the refund process.
